How it works

Every Thursday evening a team of local volunteers get together in our recording studio to read the local news printed by the Brentwood Gazette. The readings are digitally recorded onto a computer and after editing and modification, up to a 150 copies are produced for distribution using either an audio cassette or a memory stick. These are delivered to each listener via the Post Office free-post service in a bright yellow plastic wallet. Once you have listened to the talking newspaper, all we ask is that you return your cassette or memory stick by free-post to our studio, where we will make it ready for re-use the following week. You can do this simply by reversing the label and putting the cassette or memory stick back into the wallet.
